Rebecca Blöcher is a director and animation artist. Her works are created by combining stop motion with 2D animation. In doing so, she develops a distinctive visual language that oscillates between poetry, absurdity and social criticism. Her films have won numerous international awards and have been shown at renowned festivals worldwide. Rebecca studied illustration in Hamburg and developed an affinity for animated drawing and narrative experimentation.
She lives and works in Bienenbüttel, where she develops her artistic projects – with a critical eye on social structures and plenty of room for quiet nuances.
